Discover the highest volcano in the Cape Verde archipelago on our Fogo Island Day Trip from São Filipe. Enjoy breathtaking volcanic views!
We'll pick you up at your hotel in São Filipe to start this complete tour of Fogo Island, one of the most iconic islands of Cape Verde.
First up, we'll start our tour in Chã das Caldeiras National Park, so you can see the magnificent Fogo Volcano and take photos. This volcano is the highest peak on the Cape Verde archipelago and has an altitude of 9,314 feet (2829 metres).
During the tour, we'll see some houses that were built with lava and talk about the volcanic soil of this area. We'll also visit the picturesque rural villages of Patim, Achada Furna and Cabeça Fundão.
At this unique landscape, you'll have some free time to enjoy lunch at any of the local restaurants in the area. Don't forget to take pictures!
Finally, we'll drop you back at your hotel in Praia, arriving 10 hours later.
