Simba Safari São Paulo
Located in the southeastern part of São Paulo, just a short distance from the famous São Paulo Zoo, Simba Safari is a nature park covering approximately 80,000 square meters (861,112 square feet) surrounded by areas of Atlantic Forest vegetation... the perfect setting for wildlife watching!
Opened in 1971, Simba Safari was one of the first parks in Brazil to offer a safari experience within a city. After several transformations and renovations, the park reopened in 2025 with modernized facilities and a refreshed concept, while maintaining its spirit of adventure in the heart of the metropolis.
The park is designed to recreate the atmosphere of an African safari, with animals having plenty of space to move freely. Its grounds are home to over 200 animals from around 40 species, including lions, zebras, camels, antelopes, ostriches, and other exotic animals. Don't forget your camera!
On arrival, you'll head straight into the main Simba Safari experience: a 1-hour ride aboard a safari truck. You'll follow a route of around 3 kilometers (1.86 miles) through different areas of the park, each designed for different groups of animals.
As the vehicle moves through the circuit, you'll observe the animals in relative freedom as they roam the park's plains or rest beneath the vegetation. It's common to see herds of herbivores like zebras and antelopes, ostriches crossing the path, and even large mammals approaching the truck. Welcome to a genuine African safari without leaving São Paulo!
