Activity Details
If you’re adventurous and find yourselves in the picturesque town of Seward, would you dare to go paddleboarding among icebergs? This will be one of the best experiences of your life—and you’ll even get to fly in a helicopter!
We’ll meet at 11385 Seward Hwy, where the helicopter will be waiting to take us to Bear Glacier Lagoon, a stunning lake within Kenai Fjords National Park. Since it’s located in a remote area, one of the best ways to get there is by helicopter.
We’ll board the helicopter and take off, heading southwest from Seward to this lagoon filled with icebergs that have broken off from the park’s largest glacier. During the flight, which lasts about 25 minutes, we’ll enjoy some of the best views of Alaska’s frozen wilderness.
Depending on weather conditions, we’ll land in a safe area near Bear Glacier Lagoon. Once we’re on solid ground, the moment we’ve all been waiting for will arrive. We’ll hop on our stand-up paddleboards to enjoy this sport in a natural setting filled with icebergs!
We’ll explore the lagoon’s shoreline while falling completely in love with the silence and the sheer magnitude of this extraordinary place. After about 3 hours of paddleboarding among the icebergs, we’ll return to the helicopter to fly back to the starting point.
Finally, 4 hours after an indescribable adventure in Alaska, we’ll say our goodbyes and wrap up the activity.
