Meet your guide at the Bugis MRT Station, one of the busiest transport interchanges in the city-state. From here, you'll begin your free walking tour of some of the most interesting places in Singapore, exploring the alternative neighbourhoods of Bugis and Bras Brasah.
Hear all about the incredible contrasts of Singapore as you stroll along Bugis Street, one of the metropolis' most emblematic streets. Known between the 1950s and 1980s for its exotic nightlife, a favourite haunt of visiting soldiers and sailors amongst other tourists, these days the area is home to contemporary shopping developments side by side with beautiful temples. Admire the vibrant colours of the Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple, a traditional Chinese Buddhist temple, and the Hindu Sri Krishnan Temple, both on Waterloo Street.
Immerse yourself in the daily life of Singapore locals as you wander through its most authentic districts on this free walking tour. You'll see iconic buildings such as the Singapore Art Museum, the University, and CHIJMES a former Catholic convent that has been used as a chapel, a school and a wedding venue amongst other things!
Your guided tour will end at City Hall MRT Station, where you can continue exploring the Singapore at your own pace.
