On this trip to the Belogradchik Rocks from Sofia, you'll discover one of the most impressive rock formations in Europe and learn about its history.
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Sofia at the arranged time and set off on our journey to the town of Belogradchik, three hours from the Bulgarian capital. We'll visit the town and wander around its streets. You'll find out why it's one of the country's main tourist attractions.
Then we'll continue our trip with a visit to the Belogradchik fortress, a Roman construction dated between the 1st and 3rd century, which at the time was used to control access to the road coming from Ratsiaria.
After visiting the fortress, we'll head to the famous Belogradchik Rocks, a natural setting unique in Europe where you can admire a wide range of colours, from red to yellow.
You'll have fun looking at these rock formations and their original shapes while trying to identify what objects they resemble. Some of the rocks have really curious shapes!
After the visit, we'll get back in our tour vehicle and head back to your hotel in Sofia.
