Tour in a Soviet Car
Soviet Car Routes
All our tours are done in a Lada Zhiguli/VAZ-2101, one of the models of car used throughout Russia during the Soviet period. Produced in the USSR from 1969 onwards, they were known for their cheapness and toughness.
On all of our routes, you may stop whenever you wish, to take photographs or to get a closer look at any of the monuments in St. Petersburg.

Soviet Car Tour: Classic Sightseeing
Over this two hour tour we will take a route around the main sights in St. Petersburg. We'll pass by The Peter and Paul Fortress, the Aurora battleship, Palace Square, the Church of the Saviour on Spilled Blood, Anichkov Bridge, Nevsky Prospect and the Kazán and Saint Isaac Cathedrals.
Throughout the tour you can learn about the history of St. Petersburg and all the legends hidden in 'The City of the Tzars'. What's more: our guides will take you to places off the beaten tourist track, as well as recommending places where you can get the most out of your stay in St. Petersburg.
Soviet Car Tour: St. Petersburg Markets
St. Petersburg is a city in which different cultures live together: and on this route we'll show you the multicultural and gastronomic face of the city.
At the local markets, you will see products from Europe, Central Asia and the Caucasus. And throughout the tour you will have the opportunity to try various dishes, such as samsa (Uzbek samosas made of puff pastry with a meat or vegetable filling), lavash (Armenian bread) or suluguni (a typical Georgian cheese used to make Khachapuri, their national dish).
At the weekend, the tour hits the antique and artisanal markets, better known as 'flea markets', where we are sure to find a number of wares typical of the Soviet period, as well as a great gastronomic variety in the stalls throughout the market.
Soviet Car Tour: Night Route
Be seduced by the beauty of St. Petersburg at nightfall, with this route you can see the lights which illuminate the city, as well as discovering the many bridges which line the Neva river: from the Blagoveshchensky bridge on Vasilievsky island, The Palace Bridge, Trinity Bridge, Sampsonievsky, Liteiny and Bolsheokhtinsky.
The tour then continues to a viewpoint overlooking the city, where you can enjoy beautiful views of St. Petersburg lit up by night.
