Schilthorn Cable Car
The experience includes a return ticket for the cable car that connects the Swiss town of Stechelberg with the summit of Schilthorn, which stands at almost 10,000 feet (2,970 meters).
The journey from Stechelberg to the top of Schilthorn takes 22 minutes, with three stops in Gimmelwald, Mürren, and Birg.
Although a specific time is shown when you make your reservation, you can enjoy the experience whenever you want. The cable car departs from Stechelberg from 7:55 am to 2:55 pm, once every 30 minutes. The cable cars depart from Schilthorn every hour. The last descent from the mountain is at 4:25 pm in summer and at 3:55 pm in winter.
Thrill Walk Birg
If you get off at Birg, one of the three stops that the cable car makes, you'll be able to visit the Thrill Walk Birg. This is a spectacular 656-foot (200-meter) suspension bridge, hanging at a staggering 8,782 feet (2,677 meters) above sea level.
From the footbridge, you'll look out at extraordinary panoramic views of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau mountains.
Piz Gloria
You'll also find the revolving Piz Gloria restaurant. Refreshments at the restaurant aren't included in your ticket, but access to its panoramic viewpoint is.
Children Under 6
Children under six years old don't need to book a ticket. They can access the cable car free of charge when accompanied by a paying adult.
