At the indicated time, we'll meet at Austurgata Street to start this kayak tour along the coast of Stykkishólmur. We'll discover the marine wildlife of western Iceland on this fun adventure!
After introductions, we'll distribute the equipment and begin to kayak in the Breiðafjörður Bay. Did you know that this area is known for its unspoiled islands and wildlife? We'll leave behind the port of Stykkishólmur, considered one of the most beautiful towns in Iceland, to discover the highlights that are hidden in this area.
For 2 hours, we'll paddle surrounded by a unique landscape of volcanoes and glaciers. Once you get the hang of the kayaks, we'll paddle a little further away from the coast in search of puffins and seals. Be on the lookout!
Then, we'll continue the tour by exploring the remains of a shipwreck. We'll approach this stranded vessel and tell you how and why it ended up there. Finally, before returning, we'll tell you about the fascinating history of the wild and rugged Snaefellsnes peninsula.
