Taquinia Private Tour
When booking, you'll be able to choose between three different routes. All routes start at the entrance of your hotel and have a duration of 2 hours. Or, if you want to combine two routes, you can choose the 4-hour tour. Below are the details of each route:
Private tour of Tarquinia
Want to explore the historical center of Tarquinia? If you opt for this route, we'll take you on a walk through the historic center of this medieval city, admiring its most emblematic monuments and buildings like the convent of San Francisco, Palazzo Comunale, the Barucci Tower and Palazzo Vitelleschi.
Of course, we'll also have time to admire the exterior of the Church of Santa Maria di Castello, the most representative medieval temple of Tarquinia. We'll check out its Romanesque façade and we'll tell you how this sanctuary has evolved in its more than 1,000 years of history - a tour not to be missed!
Private tour of Etruscopolis
If you choose this option, we'll travel back to the Ancient Era to uncover all the secrets of the Etruscan civilization. Accompanied by the guide, we'll enter Etruscopolis, an underground museum that has become one of Tarquinia's most popular attractions. The exhibition recreates an Etruscan city from the 4th century B.C. with the aim of showing visitors the customs, beliefs and construction methods of this ancient culture.
Private tour of the Monterozzi necropolis
More than 6,000 perfectly preserved Etruscan tombs await you in the necropolis of Monterozzi. We'll visit this important site known for its surprisingly well-preserved mural paintings found in the tombs. This place, protected by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, is certainlyworth seeing in person.
