Activity Details
Day 1
Your exciting day begins with a 7 am pickup from your hotel in Tashkent, and we'll head to the train station. From there, we'll take a train to Margilan, a city renowned for its cultural treasures, including the magnificent Said Akhmad-Khoja Madrasah.
Next, we'll visit the Yodgorlik silk factory, where you'll get an up-close look at the traditional craft of silk-making in the Fergana Valley. If your visit falls on a Thursday or Sunday, we'll also explore the vibrant Kumtepa Bazaar, the largest market in the region.
After an enriching day of discovery, we'll head to the charming town of Fergana for a delightful lunch, followed by an overnight stay in this beautiful location.
Day 2
We'll kick off the second day of our excursion with an energizing breakfast, preparing us for a memorable day ahead. Our first stop will be in Rishtan, where we'll visit a traditional pottery workshop and witness the skilled craftsmanship of local artisans.
Next, we'll head to the picturesque village of Ok Yer, where you'll have the unique opportunity to meet a Kyrgyz family known for making stunning wool carpets.
Continuing our journey, we'll arrive in Kokand, the vibrant heart of Fergana. Here, we'll explore the historical treasures, starting with the grand Khudovar-Khan palace, a testament to the city's significance in Uzbekistan's bustling trade network. We'll also marvel at the architectural wonders of the Jami Mosque and the Norbut-biv Madrasah.
As our incredible adventure draws to a close, we'll take the train back to Tashkent, a scenic five-hour ride. You'll be back at your hotel by 9:30 pm.
