Tel Aviv Food Tour
Tour Details
We'll begin our food tour of Tel Aviv on Kaufmann Street. From this central point, we'll take a stroll to the old train station. Let's get started!
We'll see its restored buildings, made of light-colored stone and featuring simple lines. Did you know that this was one of the first railway links between Jaffa and Jerusalem? From there, we'll walk to Jaffa, one of the oldest ports in the Mediterranean. We'll stroll through narrow streets that blend Ottoman architecture with contemporary galleries. There, we'll discover sandstone facades, arched windows, and a mosaic of street art. Get your cameras ready!
Next, we'll continue through HaMesila Park, a green oasis that winds its way through lively neighborhoods, cafes, and walls adorned with striking graffiti. Further on, we'll enter Nahalat Binyamin, where we can admire monumental murals and alleys that resemble open-air museums.
We'll then continue to Herzl Street and Rothschild Boulevard, the heart of Bauhaus-style architecture. We'll see buildings with clean lines, curved balconies, and ivory tones that shaped the so-called White City. Here we'll learn stories of Tel Aviv's pioneers, founding families, and urban visionaries.
Finally, the most anticipated moment will arrive as we visit the Carmel Market, the largest in the city. There, we'll stroll among the best stalls to discover the culinary soul of Tel Aviv. You'll be able to sample typical products such as falafel, kubbeh, golden malawach, pita bread, and juices. These will be new flavors for our palates, full of tradition and spices.
Finally, we'll end this 3-hour and 45-minute tour at the market.
