Mount Fuji & Hakone Day Trip

  • 10 hours

See the iconic Mount Fuji from different perspectives: visit Fifth Station, ride the Hakone Ropeway and cruise on Lake Ashi on this day trip from Tokyo. An unforgettable experience!

Mount Fuji & Hakone Day Trip

At 8:15 am on the morning of your tour, meet your guide at the West Exit of Shinjuku Station. Leaving Tokyo behind, you'll be taken into the Japanese countryside in the direction of the viewpoint at the Fifth Station of Mount Fuji, where you'll arrive after a two hour drive.

You'll have 30 minutes at this unparalleled viewpoint to enjoy the extraordinary views of Mount Fuji, before heading to the Fujimatsu Tembodai Restaurant to indulge in a delicious buffet lunch. Then, with renewed energy, you'll head down to the bottom of the mountain to embark on a 30-minute long pirate ship cruise on Lake Ashi. A unique way to see the beautiful surrounding landscapes!

Following your boat trip, it will be time to take to the skies! You'll take the Hakone Ropeway, a cable car that connects Togendai station on the lake shore with Owakudani, a volcanic area with yet more spectacular panoramic views of Mount Fuji.

Having enjoyed the magnificent views, you'll ride the ropeway back down to Togendai, where your bus will be waiting for you. If you're taking the bullet train back to Tokyo, you'll be dropped off at Hakone Yumoto or Odawara Train Stations, depending on the season, to catch the train and arrive back at Shinjuku Station for 6:30 pm. If you've chosen to take the bus back, you'll arrive back at Shinjuku for 7:30 pm.

What if the weather is bad?

In the case of adverse weather conditions, instead of visiting Mount Fuji Fifth Station, you'll be taken to the Visitors Centre at the First Station instead.

Additionally, both the Hakone cable car and the pirate ship cruise on Lake Ashi are subject to modification or cancellation depending on weather conditions.
