We really enjoyed it; the value for money is unbeatable. Keep in mind that it's on the fourth floor, not at street level...

Discover Tokyo in the most authentic way by wearing a traditional Japanese kimono while strolling through the charming streets of the Asakusa neighborhood. It's the perfect place to take unforgettable pictures!
The best way to immerse yourself in Japanese culture is to dress like the locals and explore the country's history and traditions through their clothing.
At the shop located at 2-Chōme-3-7 Kaminarimon, you'll be able to choose between a wide range of traditional styles that suit all tastes. From an elegant kimono to a light yukata, each option comes with all the essentials: the wide belt known as obi, wooden sandals, tabi socks, and a handbag. You'll also have your hair styled in a traditional Japanese manner to complete the look.
In Tokyo, there is no place more iconic to stroll in a kimono than Asakusa, one of the most ancestral Japanese neighborhoods. Not only will you enjoy this traditional garment's elegance, but you'll also feel connected to this neighborhood's historic essence. Famous for its old-world charm and monuments, Asakusa offers an unparalleled stage to take memorable pictures as you immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the past.
We recommend visiting the Sensō-ji Temple, the oldest temple in Tokyo, which stands out for its stunning pagoda of five floors and the Kaminarimon door, symbol of Asakusa. Here, your kimono will shine in a spectacular way next to the ancient architecture and the red lanterns. You'll also enjoy one of the most authentic experiences in Tokyo as you walk on Nakamise-dori Street, a lively street full of traditional stands where you can take pictures and purchase unique souvenirs.
Whether you visit the impressive Asakusa Shrine or explore the neighborhood's picturesque streets, renting a kimono will transport you to the past. You'll have the opportunity to experience the essence of Japan's history and culture in all its glory!
To choose your kimono, please visit the rental store starting at 9:30 am. On the same day, you must return the garments before 6 pm.
If you're a woman over 5 ft 6 in (168 cm), a man over 5 ft 9 in (175 cm), or if you think you may need a different size, please contact us ahead of time to confirm availability and any possible extra charges.
