Are you ready to experience the film sets of this popular saga for yourself? We'll pick you up at the established time at your hotel in Tozeur in a 4x4 and head out to the rolling dunes of Tunisia to explore the most famous scenes of Star Wars.
Luke and Anakin Skywalker's childhood on the planet Tatooine was no walk in the park. The arid climate and the feeling of loss didn't help either. To discover where this planet was created, you don't need to ask Han Solo to take you aboard the Millennium Falcon, your destination is closer than you think.
First of all, we'll traverse the sea of Dunes, belonging to the desert of Tatooine. Did you know that Le Grande Dune de Nefta was the film set for these scenes? Nearby we'll find the house of the young Luke Skywalker and Chott el Djerid, a salty basin on the banks of which the Lars family lived.
At this point in the tour, we'll have begun to feel the pull of the Force. It's very powerful. And also dangerous. But don't worry, Darth Vader hasn't yet detected us.
We'll continue the route towards the Star Wars canyon, where nine scenes of the saga were filmed, such as the attacks of the jawas. The next stop will be Mos Espa, the Tunisian village that George Lucas' team built in the middle of the Sahara. The village still preserves the original sets and buildings from the Star Wars films, and you can have your photo taken next to the houses where the most famous scenes were filmed.
Then, we'll come across the yardang, strange rock formations that were used to film the fight between Qui-Gonn and Darth Maul. We'll also visit Ong Jemel, where a decisive moment in the saga also takes place.
