On this 5-day all-inclusive tour of Tunisia, we'll visit Susa, Douz, Tozeur, and other must-see destinations in this North African paradise. We'll even get to see where Star Wars and other famous movies were filmed.
5-Day Package Tour of Tunisia
Day 1: Tunis - Susa
Welcome to Tunisia! We'll pick you up at the airport in the capital and head south on a journey of approximately 2 hours. We'll arrive at our accommodation in the coastal city of Sousse, where you'll have the rest of the day free to rest and enjoy the surroundings.
Day 2: Susa - El Djem - Matmata - Douz
After breakfast at the hotel, we'll head south to El Djem to visit the best-preserved Roman amphitheater in Africa. This "small Colosseum", declared a World Heritage Site, will absolutely blow you away.
We'll then continue our journey to the troglodyte dwellings in Matmata. These homes have been built by the Berbers inside the rocky landscape to protect themselves from the desert wind. We'll visit one of these cave houses and complete the experience with lunch in a troglodyte restaurant.
After lunch, we'll leave for Douz, the gateway to the Sahara. There, we'll take a tour of the desert by camel or buggy to enter the dunes. We'll conclude the day in a hotel in Douz, where we'll have dinner and spend the night.
Day 3: Douz - Debebcha - Chott el Djerid - Ong Jemel - Tozeur
After breakfast at the hotel in Douz, we'll go to Debebcha to admire its sandstone landscape. We'll then continue our journey along the edge of the famous salt lake, Chott el Djerid, on our way to Tozeur for lunch.
In the afternoon, we'll venture into the desert by an off-road vehicle toward Ong Jemel, a site renowned for serving as a filming location for Star Wars and The English Patient. Next, we'll explore the stunning mountain oases of Chebika and the waterfalls of Tamerza, two authentic lush havens amidst the arid Sahara.
We'll conclude the day in Tozeur. In the evening, you'll have the option to enjoy a traditional dinner, complete with a show and drinks, in the oasis before retiring to your hotel.
Day 4: Tozeur - Kairouan - Susa
After breakfast at the hotel in Tozeur, we'll head directly to Kairouan, the fourth holiest city in Islam and a World Heritage Site.
In Kairouan, we'll admire the majestic architecture of the Great Mosque and visit a workshop specializing in traditional local carpets. Following lunch at a local restaurant, we'll begin our journey back to the coast, where we'll stay in Sousse.
Day 5: Susa - Tunis capital
On the last day of our 5-day tour of Tunisia, you'll have breakfast included at the hotel in Susa, where we'll pick you up early enough to take you to the airport in Tunis. Have a safe flight back!

The tour includes 4 nights of full-board accommodation on days 2, 3, and 4 in the following hotels:
- Susa (2 nights): 5* hotel Marhaba Palace, Palm Marina or similar.
- Douz (1 night): 4* hotel Sahara Douz, Mouradi Douz, or similar.
- Tozeur (1 night): 4* hotel Mouradi, Ras el Ain, or similar.
