Hiking in the foothills of the world's southernmost mountain range, canoeing through the rivers that cross the stunning Tierra del Fuego countryside... What are you waiting for?
Tierra del Fuego Trekking and Canoe Tour
The Tierra del Fuego Trekking and Canoe Tour varies depending on the time of the year, as explained below.
Winter Tour (July to September)
Having been picked up from your hotel around 9 am, you'll be driven to the Tierra del Fuego National Park.
We'll reach the banks of the River Lapataia, where our canoes will be waiting for us ready to take part in the first activity of the day. Fully briefed and equipped with everything you need, you'll set off to explore Lapataia Bay by canoe. The canoeing route allows you to see the Andes Fueguinos, the southernmost peaks in the Andean mountain range.
We'll get back on the solid land near to the area's famous viewpoint. Here, we'll start a two-hour trekking route through the incredible Tierra del Fuego scenery. As we hike, you'll see one of the areas with the greatest biodiversity in south Argentina.
Next, you'll be able to replenish your energy with a three-course lunch before we head back to Ushuaia, where we'll arrive at around 4 pm.
Summer Tour (October to April)
If you take this tour during the Argentinian summer, we'll pick you up from your hotel at 8:30 am and after a short journey we'll delve into the Tierra del Fuego National Park.
Once there, we'll start our three-hour trekking route along the famous Senda Costera. As we follow this trail, we'll come across incredible forests, rivers and lakes. We'll also border the Beagle Canal which separates the Chilean side of Tierra del Fuego from the Argentinian side. At the border between these two countries also lies the glacial lake, Lago Roca. We'll take a break there and replenish our energy with a filling three-course lunch.
After relaxing and admiring the area's natural beauty, you'll then receive a brief instructional talk and then it'll be time to hit the waters. You'll be able to canoe on the lake, going as far as Lapataia Bay!
Finally, we'll get back on the bus and return to your hotel in Ushuaia at around 5:30 pm.
