Day Trip Details
After picking you up at the indicated time at your hotel in Varadero, we'll travel in a classic car to the first destination of the day: Coral Beach. Let's go!
Upon arrival, if you wish, you can hire snorkelling equipment so that you can enjoy the beauty of the waters and the numerous fish swimming peacefully at Coral Beach. Doesn't sound too bad, does it?
Next, we'll head to Matanzas, a town full of secrets and stories that will take you back in time and allow you to discover the beauty of Cuba's contrasts. We'll stroll through its historic centre, where we'll see colonial houses, the Cathedral of San Carlos Borromeo, the Sauto Theatre and various museums that perfectly showcase its unique character.
We'll leave Matanzas behind and head to the cenote of Saturn Cave, a spring of crystalline waters. There, you'll be able to enjoy this environment of intense blue colours while swimming and relaxing for an hour. Next stop? Boca de Camarioca, where you'll enjoy the paradisiacal beaches. We'll also teach you how to make a Cuban mojito!
Next, we'll pass by the pristine natural beach of La Conchita and the artificial beach of Plaza Oasis in Varadero, and then we'll head to Santa Marta. There, specifically at the Agricultural Market, we'll hop on a bike taxi, a unique vehicle that will take us to a local restaurant where we'll satisfy our appetites with a delicious traditional lunch accompanied by a typical Cuban cocktail.
Then, feeling refuelled, we'll go on a guided tour of Santa Marta. We'll walk through the historic centre and explore the lively village market, the perfect place to get a taste of rural Cuban life.
Next, we'll visit the Casa Naranja, located just 5 minutes from Santa Marta, where we'll round off the experience with a tasting of four Cuban rums, coffee, chocolate, and tobacco. What more could you ask for? We'll also visit El Resplandor, an agroecological farm where we'll visit the home of a local farmer and enjoy a tasting of seasonal fruit.
Finally, we'll stop at Playa Las Américas, one of the best beaches in Varadero, and we'll return to your hotel in a classic car after 9 hours.
