Viñales Horse Riding Tour Itinerary

After meeting your guide at the scheduled time and place, you'll be taken to the the start point of your excursion, where your horses will be waiting.

Having climbed onto horseback, you'll begin riding through the Viñales National Park, a magical area of Cuba known for its impressive rock formations known as "mogotes". These greenery-covered karstic mountains tower out of the valley below, and make for a truly captivating landscape. Slowly but surely, you and your horses will make your way into the Valle del Silencio, which means "Valley of Silence", marvelling at one of the most beautiful areas in Viñales.

You'll make the first stop on your route at a tobacco plantation, where you'll discover how this product - one of the most famous crops in the region - is grown and dried out, ready to make into famous Cuban cigars. You'll even have the opportunity to smoke one, if you'd like!

Explore the valley's coffee and honey farms too, learning the local secrets of their production. What's more, you'll hear all about Guayabita del Pinar rum, one of the region's most popular alcoholic beverages. Intrigued to try the products? You'll also visit a nearby shop, where you can purchase these different Cuban goods.

Finally, your horse riding tour will take you up to a viewpoint from which you'll enjoy the best panoramic views over the Valle del Silencio and part of the Viñales Valley. You'll be left speechless by this magnificent vista! You'll then make the return journey to Viñales town.

The minimum age to be able to participate alone in this activity is 18. Children under 18 must always participate along with an adult.
