Activity Details

On the afternoon of your tour, you'll meet your guide at the scheduled time and place, ready to begin your trek through the beautiful verdant landscapes of Viñales, one of the most stunning regions in northeast Cuba.

Your route will take you deep into the Valle del Silencio, or "Valley of Silence", which is part of the Viñales National Park. The area is marked by luscious green fields and jungle, natural caves and towering limestone karsts known as "mogotes". While your trek will be challenging at times, the impressive views over the breath-taking nature of Cuba is well worth the effort.

Throughout your hike, you'll see immense tobacco and coffee plantations, two of this region's most famous crops. You'll have the opportunity to support the local growers as well, as you'll make a stop en route at a shop to purchase typical products such as tobacco, coffee, honey and fruit. Delicious!

The national park through which you will hike has been recognised as a World Heritage Site for its enchanting karstic landscapes, and you'll be able to enjoy the best views over the valley as you arrive at a hilltop viewpoint just in time for a spectacular sunset. Truly unforgettable!
