We'll pick you up from your hotel in Yogyakarta at 7 am and board a comfortable private vehicle that will take us directly to Semarang. After an enjoyable three and a half hour drive, we'll arrive at this enchanting city on the north coast of the island of Java.
We'll then start a fantastic guided tour of Semarang to admire the essential places of the city, such as the elegant Bledung church. We'll contemplate its beautiful facade and head inside to learn more about the first Catholic church in the city.
The next stop will be Lawang Sewu, the so-called thousand-door building. We'll tell you the fascinating story behind this huge house that was built by the Dutch in the early 1900s. After the tour, you'll have one hour of free time to have lunch on your own at a local restaurant (not included).
The tour continues by exploring the Chinese Sam Po Kong temple. This colorful temple is one of the most special in Central Java, welcoming visitors of any religion.
Finally, we'll visit Kampung Pelangi, also known as the rainbow village. This is a neighborhood of Semarang that decided to paint all its houses in bright colors as a response to its reputation as being dirty.
The tour concludes after a little more than six hours at the place you indicated when making the booking.
