Mónsul & Genoveses Jeep Tour

We'll meet at 5 pm at the Rambla de San José to start our jeep tour of the virgin beaches of Almeria. Our first stop will be at the historic gold mines of Rodalquilar, where we'll learm about the importance of this precious metal for the local economy until the mine's closure in the mid-20th century.

Afterwards, we'll make our way to some of the area's most spectacular virgin beaches. We'll admire Genoveses Beach from the 4x4, a wild stretch of coastline where many adverts and video clips have been filmed. The off-road vehicle is equipped with television screens where we can watch some of these iconic scenes.

Next, we'll stop at Mónsul Beach, where we'll climb out of the vehicle to take photos and take in the views. This coastline was chosen by Steven Spielberg to shoot a scene in the film "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade". You'll be captivated by the beauty! What's more, if you take the tour during the summer, you'll have free time to enjoy a refreshing dip in the sea.

The tour will then take us inland to discover the local architecture and natural landscapes, and we'll hear all about the tragic event that took place here which inspired Federico García Lorca to write "Bodas de Sangre".

The tour will end with drop off back in San José at 7:30 pm.
