We will collect you from your accommodation, before beginning our tour of the ancient city of Amritsar. Strolling through the captivating streets, you will learn all about the city's four-hundred-year history and the Punjabi culture.
Our first stop is Harmandir Sahib, known in English as the 'Golden Temple', and considered to be the soul of the city. We will step inside the shrine, and visit its museum, to find out why it is the most sacred place for the Sikh religion.
Following the visit, we will continue to the Jallianwala Bagh monument which honors the victims of the Amritsar massacre. There, you will learn all about those tragic events in 1919 which shook the world.
We resume our tour of the streets of Amritsar, heading to the Durgiana Temple, also known as Lakshmi Narayan Temple, Durga Tirath, and Sitla Mandir. We will explore the interior of this Hindu temple, which was constructed in 1921, and admire its beautiful cupola illuminated in a range of bright colors.
After visiting the Durgiana Temple we will take you back to your hotel, where the tour finishes.
