At the time of your choice, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Arenal and head to La Fortuna. In just 1 hour, we'll arrive in sloth territory. Ready to see these sleepy animals up close?
We'll start walking down a 1.5-km trail where we'll come across many Guarumo trees, the sloths' favorite place to sleep and feed. While we search for the slowest mammal in the world, we'll learn how they interact, how many hours they sleep, and what their diet consists of. Did you know that there are plants that grow on the sloth's skin and that serve as a method of camouflage?
During our 2-hour tour, we'll see two types of sloths: two-toed and three-toed sloths. When we observe them, we must remember that this special sloth territory was designated to help protect the species, so we must not disturb our furry friends or invade their space.
Finally, we'll head back to Arenal, arriving after a 4-hour experience.
