Puerto Blest & Cantaros Waterfall Day Trip

  • English and Spanish
  • 7 hours

Enjoy a boat ride on Nahuel Huapi Lake with this day trip that will allow you to explore Puerto Blest and the Cantaros Waterfall. Not to be missed!

Puerto Blest & Cantaros Waterfall

We'll start this tour at the Puerto Pañuelo jetty, and from here we'll set out on our boat trip on Nahuel Huapi Lake.

On the hour-long journey, we'll border the coast of Centinela Island and the Las Mellizas Islands, which are home to a rich environmental heritage. From the boat, we'll also spot the coast of Spider Beach (interesting name, right?), and the famous Casacada Blanca (white waterfall). Nature doesn't get much better than this!

Our boat trip will continue until Puerto Blest. Here, we'll disembark and you'll have the chance to relax at the coffee shop in the Hotel Puerto Best. If you're more of an active type, then you could choose to take the guided trek (entrance to the National Park, €8.50 per person, is not included). In this case, after an hour of low difficulty trekking through the forest, we'll reach Puerto Alegre, a beautiful viewpoint where we can admire the turquoise waters of Lago Frías. We'll finish this trek by returning back to the Hotel Puerto Blest, where we'll meet the rest of the group to replenish our energy with lunch (not included).

After lunch, we'll get back on the boat to cruise along Nahuel Huapi Lake, until we get close to Puerto Cantaros, where we'll dock and walk up to the famous Cantaros Waterfall. Did you know that this is one of the places with the most rainfall in Argentina? This amount of water makes the waterfall truly spectacular.

We'll admire the waterfalls before heading back to the boat, and then set sail back to Puerto Pañuelo.
