Sail along Nahuel Huapi lake and discover two of its natural jewels – Victoria Island and the Arrayanes forest situated on the Quetrihué peninsula.
Victoria Island and Arrayanes Forest Day Trip
We'll meet at the Puerto Pañuelo wharf, located just 16 miles (25 km) from San Carlos de Bariloche.
Once we've boarded, we'll set sail on Lake Nahuel Huapi. While on the almost one-hour long boat trip, you will have unforgettable views from the covered observation deck. White rugged Andean peaks, the blue tones of the glacial lakes of Patagonia… the surrounding landscapes are simply spectacular!
We will then enter the Arrayanes forest on the Quetrihué peninsula. These distinctive trees with cinnamon tones form part of a UNESCO declared Biosphere Reserve. We'll enjoy a gentle 30-minute walk in which you will discover all the natural attractions of this beautiful region of Argentina.
After the guided tour of the Arrayanes forest, we'll head back to the boat to continue our journey, with a 30-minute cruise to the pier of Puerto Anchorena, located on the beautiful Victoria Island. We will go on a 60-minute hike around the island, having the opportunity to discover its flora (eucalyptus, pine and redwood trees), and its wildlife (imperial shags and other incredible birds).
Once we've finished our route around Victoria Island, we'll head back to the Puerto Anchorena pier and from there we'll sail for 30 minutes back to Puerto Pañuelo.
