Welcome to Byblos, the oldest continuously inhabited city in the world, where a guided tour awaits. We'll immerse ourselves in its enchanting streets, ancient souks, and churches, soaking in the authenticity of this historic gem.
The ancient city boasts a Bronze Age wall, a necropolis, remnants of temples, and numerous traces from the Roman and medieval eras. Among its highlights is the Byblos Castle, constructed in the 12th century by Crusader knights—a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Following our tour to Byblos, we'll journey north for a visit to Chateau Musar winery, Lebanon's first wine producer that achieved organic certification for its vineyards in 2006. We'll take the opportunity to tour the winery's facilities and discover its vinicultural processes.
Continuing our wine adventure, we'll head to the Ixsir winery, named after the Arabic word 'iksir,' meaning elixir. Here, delve into the essence of Lebanese wines and grasp the significance of the local vineyards.
As our day trip concludes, we'll journey back to Beirut, arriving after a fulfilling 7-hour exploration.
