On this day trip to Cicmany from Bratislava, we'll venture into northwestern Slovakia to see some of the most peculiar dwellings. Also, you'll be able to relax in the spa in Rajecké Teplice.
The tour will start at Bratislava Central Station. At 8:27 am the high-speed train will depart for Zilina, where we will arrive at 10:30 am. Ready to discover Cicmany and the thermal baths of Rajecké Teplice?
Once we arrive at Zilina station, we will board a comfortable vehicle and head to our first stop: Rajecká Lesná. During the drive, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of northwestern Slovakia while we tell you some interesting facts about the region.
Arriving at our destination, we will admire the wooden Nativity Scene of Rajecká Lesná, which is one of the largest wooden sculptures in Slovakia, with more than 250 figures! We will take advantage of this opportunity to tell you about the traditions and history of this part of the country.
Then we will head to Cicmany - did you know that this village is famous for the decoration of its unique wooden houses? As we walk through the streets, we will see different facades painted with white decorations with various motifs that follow the so-called Cicmany pattern.
Feeling hungry? You will have an hour of free time to rest and enjoy a delicious lunch. After recharging your batteries, we will continue the excursion to Rajecké Teplice, where you will enjoy two hours in the spa - the most relaxing moment of the day!
Relaxed and feeling refueled, we will return to Zilina, and, before boarding the train, we will take a short guided tour of the historic center of what is known as the capital of northwestern Slovakia.
Finally, we will take the train back to Bratislava at 5:31 pm, where we will arrive at 7:33 pm.
