Buenos Aires Colonial Theatrical Tour
Tour Details
Do you want to travel back to the colonial past of Buenos Aires? Are you ready to watch performances that bring key moments of the city’s history to life? Welcome to this theatrical tour!
At the indicated time, we’ll meet at the corner of Pasaje 5 de Julio and Avenida Belgrano, the perfect starting point for this walking tour through the Montserrat neighborhood.
Once everyone has arrived, we’ll begin this journey to the origins of Buenos Aires. Accompanied by actresses in period costume, we’ll step into the 19th century to discover the stories that shaped this neighborhood.
The theatrical tour will take us past some of the most important landmarks of Buenos Aires’ colonial past, such as the Mausoleum of Manuel Belgrano, where we’ll revisit the British invasions of the city. Afterward, we’ll head to the Church of San Francisco, one of the oldest sites in the Argentine capital.
Our next stop will be the iconic Manzana de las Luces, one of the most important historic complexes in Buenos Aires. Located in the heart of Montserrat, it houses some of the most influential cultural and educational institutions of the colonial period.
We’ll continue exploring the stories of this era as we walk toward Plaza de Mayo, the main stage of many of Buenos Aires’ most significant historical events. Here, we’ll see the Cabildo, the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Pirámide de Mayo, the Bank of the Argentine Nation, and the Casa Rosada.
After this journey through Buenos Aires’ colonial past, we’ll return to the present day and end the tour 1.5 hours later in Plaza de Mayo.
