On this day trip to Estancia Vigil, you’ll tour its vineyards, enjoy a tasting of Argentine wines, and savor a delicious lunch. The perfect plan for a countryside escape!

Visiting Estancia Vigil

We’ll pick you up from your hotel in downtown Buenos Aires and head toward the outskirts of the Argentine capital. Specifically, we’ll travel to the Los Cardales area, near Ciervo de los Pantanos National Park.

After a journey of approximately 1 hour, we’ll arrive at Mercado Estancia Vigil. This wine tourism space, inspired by traditional Argentine rural stores, will welcome us with a glass of wine. As we enjoy this moment, we’ll learn about the history of Estancia Vigil, its philosophy, and the origin of its vines, carefully selected and brought from Mendoza, Argentina’s main wine-producing region.

Next, we’ll take a tour of the winery. We’ll visit the fire pit area, the patio, and the vineyards, where we’ll learn about the work behind each wine. We’ll then enjoy a tasting of 3 selected wines chosen by Alejandro Vigil, one of Argentina’s most renowned winemakers.

This experience will invite us to discover Argentine Malbec at its finest, exploring how climate, altitude, and terroir influence each variety. During the tasting, we’ll sample the following wines or similar options:

  • DV Catena Malbec La Rioja: grown at 1500 meters above sea level. An elegant, floral wine with marked minerality.
  • DV Catena Malbec Salta: cultivated at an altitude of 2000 meters. An intense, spicy wine with excellent natural acidity.
  • DV Catena Malbec Mendoza: harvested at 950 meters. A fruity, well-balanced wine with a classic style.

The tasting will be paired with a selection of regional cheeses, artisanal cured meats, and a basket of handmade breads. Afterward, we’ll enjoy a 3-course lunch, accompanied by local wines.

After lunch, we’ll return you to your hotel in Buenos Aires, where this 8-hour day trip will come to an end.
