As soon as you step foot in the Mayan Museum, you'll see an imposing entryway with several sculptures by Jan Hendrix suspended on the surface of water. Do you know what they represent? Perhaps they remind you of the natural environment of the Mayan Riviera - you'll have to find out for yourself!
During your visit, you'll learn all the secrets of the ancient and fascinating Mayan culture, and you'll also have preferential access to the exhibition space. This is composed of three imposing rooms no less than 8 meters (26 feet) high. A lot of the rooms even have large windows that will give you a magnificent view of the San Miguelito forest and the Nichupté lagoon. Get your cameras ready!
The entrance fee also includes access to the archaeological site of San Miguelito, made up of structures that held wooden houses and palm trees. Several families lived here before the arrival of the Spanish conquistadors!
