From Chinese ancestral homes to colonial churches: discover the incredible heritage of one of the Philippines' most important cities on this guided tour of Cebu.
Cebu Guided City Tour Itinerary
After being picked up from the meeting point in Cebu at the scheduled time, you'll begin your sightseeing tour around Cebu City, a major metropolis in the Philippines. The first stop on your route will be at the Taoist Temple, built in 1972 in the popular Beverly Hills residential district. Visit its gardens to admire the large dragon sculpture and a replica of the Great Wall of China, before entering the beautiful colourful buildings that form the sanctuary.
Continue your tour to the Cebu Heritage Monument, where you'll learn all about the history of the island, before visiting the Santo Niño Basilica, known for being the oldest church in the Philippines. Not far from here, you'll find Magellan's Cross, one of the symbols of Cebu, which is surrounded by a number of legends.
You'll also pay a visit to the Yap-San Diego Ancestral House, built by Chinese merchants during the 17th century. As you enter the historic building, you'll feel as though you've travelled back in time to another era. Admire the antique furniture and relics of past riches on display in the house-museum.
Next, you'll head to Cebu's commercial area, where you'll see the striking contrasts of the contemporary and traditional city side by side in one of its oldest streets: Colon Street. Strolling past Osmena Circle Fountain and Capitol Site, you'll hear all about the history of the area and the many businesses that line the boulevards.
Your guided tour of Cebu City will come to an end between 4 pm and 5 pm.
