Akchour Waterfalls Hike
Description
Take a break from the heat of the city and escape into Morocco's lush natural landscapes, enjoying a dip in the famous Akchour Waterfalls! At the time indicated, on the day of your excursion, we'll pick you up from your hotel to catch the taxi. After a 35-minute drive, we'll reach Akchour, a small village nestled in the Rif Mountains.
Once we reach this protected natural area of Morocco, we'll set off on a hiking trail through Talassemtane. Our two-hour trek will be well worth the effort, because at the end of the route the magnificent Akchour Waterfalls will be waiting for us.
Let's have a moment of silence - can you hear it? The sound of the waters crashing down into the natural pools below are a spectacle in themselves. We'll then head to the waterfall itself to enjoy a refreshing dip in the cool waters before enjoying lunch with a view beside the waterfalls. Don't forget to bring your own picnic, or if you prefer you can enjoy a tajine from one of the food stalls here!
After lunch, we'll embark on a new hiking route to one of the entrances of the Talassemtane National Park. From here, we'll hop on a taxi back to head back to Chefachouen. We'll arrive back in the city after 7 hours of an unforgettable day of adventure.
Pickup
This activity includes pickup from accommodation in the centre of Chefchaouen. If you aren't staying in this area, we'll pick you up at the time indicated from Hotel Madrid.
Itinerary changes
Depending on the time of year, there may be periods when the waterfalls have a reduced water flow. In such instances, we'll provide you with two options: you can still choose to visit the waterfalls and enjoy the hiking experience, or we can offer a combo trip that includes both the smaller waterfalls and the magnificent God's Bridge. The choice will be yours to make, ensuring you have a memorable and enjoyable experience regardless of the water flow conditions.
