Civitavecchia Food Tour
Enjoy the flavours of the Lazio region as you explore the historic centre of Civitavecchia on this Civitavecchia Food Tour, a must for lovers of fine cuisine!
Civitavecchia Food Tour
At the time of your choice, we'll meet in via Prato del Turco, just a few steps from the port of Civitavecchia. From this point, we'll start a walking tour that will lead us to discover the most characteristic flavours and aromas of this Italian city.
Our first stop will be a wine shop. Here, we'll taste a delicious aperitif based on cold meats, olives, bruschetta, taralli and cheese. The menu will be accompanied by a glass of white and red wine.
After this first tasting, we'll take a pleasant walk through the historical centre of Civitavecchia. We'll visit the ancient Roman port and admire the imposing Fort Michelangelo, one of the most imposing medieval fortresses in the region of Lazio, which will leave you speechless!
The walk will take us to the city's market to learn first-hand about the main ingredients of Italian gastronomy. Nearby, we'll taste another of the typical products - how about some pizza? We'll enjoy three different slices! A margherita, a seafood pizza and a mushroom and sausage pizza.
Then it's time for dessert! We'll head to a patisserie for a coffee and a delicious sweet. What more could you ask for?
After three and a half hours of walking, we'll finish the food route very close to the starting point.
