Cochabamba & Cristo de la Concordia Tour

Ready for a day full of history and incredible sights? We'll meet at 10:30 am in the central Plaza de Colón to start our tour of Cochabamba accompanied by a local guide. From our starting point, we'll be able to admire one of the city's highest buildings, with over 20 floors! Its modern architecture contrasts with the colonial style we'll be seeing on the rest of the tour.

We'll hop on a minibus and head to the Museo Casona Santivañez and go on a 45 minute guided tour of this palace-style museum. Afterwards, we'll walk to the Plaza 14 de Septiembre, where the Column of Heroes is located. Do you know what historical event it symbolises?

We'll make the most of our visit to the square to admire the San Sebastián Cathedral, one of the city's landmarks.

At 12 pm, we'll stop for lunch, which will include a soup, a main course and a piece of fruit. An hour later, we'll head to the Cancha, a large market where you will find everything from fruits to vegetables, handicrafts, clothes, instruments and toys.

Hop in! The next stop will be the cable car station so we can travel up the hill to reach the Cristo de la Concordia, one of the largest sculptures of Jesus Christ in the world. It's even bigger than Christ Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro! You'll have an hour of free time to marvel at incredible panoramic views of Cochabamba.

After taking the cable car back down the hill we'll hop back on the minibus and set off for the Palacio Portales. We'll explore its different French style rooms and its beautiful gardens.

The tour will end in the Plaza de Colón at 4:30 pm.
