At 9 am we'll meet at Avenida Emídio Navarro in Coímbra to start an excursion through the Serra da Estrela.
Our first stop will be Sabugueiro, an hour and a half from Coimbra. Did you know it's the highest village in Portugal, located at 1200 metres above sea level!
After this visit, we'll continue our journey towards the highest point on Mainland Portugal: the Torre (tower), where we'll enjoy spectacular views.
Afterwards, you'll get the chance to taste some Queijo da Serra, a typical cheese from this region. Then we'll begin the descent through the town of Loriga, making short stops in Foz de Égua and Piódão.
Lastly, we'll visit the protected area of Fraga da Pena and the charming village of Benfeita. Our tour will end back at the starting point at 5 pm.
