At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Taste of Africa restaurant. Looking forward to seeing elephants in their natural habitat? Then let's get this safari in the Addo Elephant National Park started!
First, we'll take a 40-minute drive from Colchester to the Addo Elephant National Park. The park is one of the most impressive in the world since it's the only park that can boast of being home to all the Big Seven of Africa! Once we arrive, we'll start walking along the trails in search of the Big Five first: lions, Cape buffaloes, rhinos, leopards, and elephants.
During the safari, we'll see and learn about the huge elephant population that roams Addo. You'll hear about the great preservation work that's been done over the last few years to bring the population from a mere 16 elephants to 550 elephants!
Next, we'll pause to enjoy a picnic lunch somewhere quiet in the Addo Elephant National Park. Then, we'll continue traveling throughout the reserve in search of more animals – keep your eyes peeled!
Finally, we'll return to the starting point in Colchester with a camera full of breathtaking pictures and end the safari after 9 hours.
