Cusco Free City Tour
We will meet up in K'uichipunku street at 10 am to begin our walking tour around the main tourist attractions in Cusco. Architectural and cultural treasures from both the Inca and colonial times await us in this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
We will explore San Francisco square, passing under the beautiful Santa Clara arch. You will find out all about the origins of this monument and which historical moment it commemorates.
Walking through the pretty cobbled streets, we arrive at the historic San Pedro church, and closeby, the colorful market of the same name. Inside you will find a range of local artisan products and foods such as cacao, coffee, juice, and regional dishes.
The next stop is Plaza de Armas square, one of Cusco's top attractions. There, you will find the city's 17th-century cathedral and the Church of the Society of Jesus, a Jesuit Church constructed on the ruins of ancient Inca buildings.
We will head to the Santa Catalina church and convent, which in ancient Inca times was known as the Aqllawasi temple.
Then we head to the Pachacutec monument, dedicated to the ninth emperor of the Incas. You will hear all about why this emperor was so important. Finally, we finish our free guided tour at 12 am in Pukamarka palace, just a few meters from Plaza de Armas square.

This is a free walking tour around the city of Cusco. We will not enter any of the monuments on the itinerary, but we will explore the exterior grounds.
