probably be picked up between 4-430am and arrive to a buffet breakfast at around 6-630am. from there an additional hour to the site then a 40-60 min walk up to the view point. Due to the altitude, the walk can be difficult and a slow pace. At a normal altitude it would not be difficult. The view can change from cloudy to partial view to a good view depending on day, time and season. After descending, you will go to a buffet lunch then to your hotel. it is worth the price of the tour.
You will be leaving likely before 4am, eating a buffet breakfast at around 6:30 then starting the hike around 8:15. In general, it is not a difficult hike but you are going up and due to the altitude, it is not easy. I am in very good physical shape and rarely struggle on hikes but I was sucking air on this one. You do have an option to take a horse up. It is worth it though, the view is spectacular. You will go down, have a buffet lunch and head back to Cusco arriving around 5:30/6
An excellent trip, long but highly recommended, the guide Sayid was excellent and very attentive. A little confusion upon arrival at the train station in Ollantatambo at night, but nothing serious. It was a wonderful experience.
