Spectacular Andean landscapes, mythical Inca ruins and vibrant cultural tradition: discover Peru's incredible Sacred Valley on this day trip from Cusco. Visit Pisac, Ollantaytambo and Chinchero!
Sacred Valley of the Incas Tour Itinerary
On the day of your tour, you'll be picked up from your hotel between 8 am and 8:30 am and leave Cusco behind, delving into the Sacred Valley of the Incas, venerated by the Pre-Columbian Empire for its climate and rich soil.
Driving through beautiful mountainous landscapes in the direction of the village of Pisac, we'll make a stop at the Taray viewpoint to admire the impressive view of the hills and the valley through which the Vilcanota River flows.
Having reached Pisac, we'll be immersed in the history and culture of this region of Peru. Discover first-hand the traditional customs of the locals; explore the artisanal market and visit the archaeological park located at the top of the mountain. You'll also have an hour and a half of free time to eat (not included).
After eating, you'll make your way to the next stop on your sightseeing tour: the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo. Here, you'll see the fortified defences used during the Spanish conquest of the Inca Empire; the mythical temples and the agricultural terraces that cling to the hillsides.
We'll then head onwards to Chinchero, a town with more than 2000 years of history. Here we'll spend an hour discovering the Inca wall in the central square and the colonial church, while hearing all about the remains of the royal treasure of Tupac Yupanqui.
At the end of an incredible day, we'll head back to Cusco, where you'll be dropped off in San Francisco Square at around 6:30 pm.
