  • 174 reviews | 4,489 travellers
A trip to the past visiting beautiful places full of history. The archaeological centers visited are very well cared for and protected. The Guide, his name Rudy, excellent treatment, attentive, concerned about his group and very educational. There was a coordination problem with the reserve area.

Options

When booking, you can choose between two different options. Both include hotel pickup and drop-off, minibus transport, and an English-speaking guide.

Sacred Valley of the Incas Tour (10 hours)

On the day of your tour, you'll be picked up from your hotel at around 8 am, and leave Cusco behind, delving into the Sacred Valley of the Incas, venerated by the Pre-Columbian Empire for its climate and rich soil.

You will have free time in Pisac to buy some typical artisan souvenirs, and then we'll continue along the Vilcanota River to Urubamba, the capital of the Sacred Valley, where you can eat on your own or taste a typical Andean buffet lunch.

Around 1:30 pm and with our batteries charged, we'll head to the Ollantaytambo ruins for a guided tour. Then on the way back to Cusco, we'll make a brief stop in Chinchero to visit the Church of Our Lady of Monserrat and learn all of its secrets

We'll arrive back at your hotel at 6 pm.

Complete Sacred Valley Tours (12.5 hours)

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Cusco at 6:30 am and set off towards Chinchero, 40 minutes away. Here we'll visit the church, which dates back to the 17th century and was one of the first Catholic buildings in Peru. Then, we'll visit an agricultural area belonging to the Incas and the Killke culture. Welcome to the Sacred Valley!

Next, it's on to Maras to visit the peculiar archaeological site of Moray, well known for its circular terraces! Then, we'll visit the northeast of the town to admire the famous salt mines, 3,000 salt wells formed from a natural spring, with a mysterious ancient legend...

Then we hit the road to Urubamba, arriving hungry at 12 pm! So once there, you can enjoy a delicious Andean buffet lunch or head out to eat lunch on your own in the city.

With renewed energy, it's on to Ollantaytambo, to enjoy magnificent views of the Valley of the Incas. We'll walk through the cobbled streets of this town that was an important center of Inca culture, home to a great ceremonial temple.

Finally, we visit Pisac, one of the most famous archaeological complexes in the valley, where we'll see the remains of a great civilization and learn about the legend of Inquill.

The day comes to an end at 7 pm back in Cusco, where we'll drop you off at Plazoleta regocijo or Plaza San Francisco.
