Tour Details
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at the scheduled time and head south by bus to the starting point of the adventure. During the journey, we'll stop for a delicious buffet breakfast featuring local and international specialties.
Next, we'll go to the quad bike base, where the guide will give you a short safety briefing and the necessary instructions for learning to drive the quad bikes easily. They will also provide you with all the necessary equipment, including helmets and gloves. Let's go!
We'll begin an exhilarating quad bike route along dirt tracks, crossing ravines, Andean communities, and high mountain landscapes. After the vehicle journey, we'll park and embark on a 45-minute hike to reach the main viewpoint of Rainbow Mountain, located at an altitude of 16 404 ft (5000 m). You'll have free time to enjoy the breathtaking panoramic views, take spectacular photos, and listen to the guide's explanations about the area's unique mineral composition.
We'll then begin the hike back to the quads and get behind the wheel again for the downhill stretch. After the quad bike tour, we'll refuel with a full buffet lunch before heading back to Cusco. We'll drop you off in the city center after approximately 12 hours of activity.
Tour Options
During the booking process, you can select the option that best suits your preferences based on the departure time and the duration of the quad bike tour:
30-Minute Quad Bike Tour
We'll travel by bus to Cusipata for breakfast and then continue to the community of Qáyrahuiri. After the driving instructions, we'll take a 15-minute quad bike ride each way (1.86 mi/3 km each way), which will take us very close to Rainbow Mountain.
During the tour, you'll have some free time to explore the peak and take photos before lunch and the return to downtown Cusco.
3-Hour Quad Bike Tour
Want to enjoy a more complete adventure on the quad bike? We'll have a buffet breakfast before hopping on the quads. Then, we'll ride for 1.5 hours each way (almost 3 hours total) through spectacular high Andean landscapes.
After the quad bike tour, we'll hike for 45 minutes to Rainbow Mountain, return by quad bike, and enjoy a buffet lunch before returning to Cusco around 4:30 pm.
Activity Requirements
- You must be at least 18 years old to be able to drive the quad bikes. People between 12 and 18 can ride the quad bikes as passengers on double quads.
- Keep in mind that up to 2 people can go on each double quad.
- In the double quad option, the vehicle is shared between two people.
- Pregnant people, individuals with heart problems, anxiety, and/or claustrophobia may not participate in this activity.
Vehicle Type
For both the fast and extended routes, you can choose how you want to experience the ride:
- Individual quad: 1 person per vehicle
- Shared double quad: 2 people in the same vehicle.

- The minimum age to drive the quads is 18
- Minors aged 12 to 17 may only participate as passengers on double quads
- Pregnant people and individuals with serious heart or respiratory conditions related to altitude are not permitted to participate in this activity

Reservations are made by quad. If you choose a shared double quad, each quad can accommodate 2 people, and the price shown is for the entire quad, not per person.
