Tour Details

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Edmund Burke Statue in the heart of Dublin. If you're a history buff, you can't miss out on this!

First of all, we'll head to the home of the famous Celtic manuscript. Once hailed as 'the most precious object in the western world,' the Book of Kells is over 1,200 years old, and perfectly exemplifies medieval illustration.

Kept in Trinity College's Old Library, this book contains a Latin text of the four gospels. During the tour, we'll explain the book's origins, its intricate symbolism, the meticulous painting techniques used to create this artistic masterpiece, and the role monks and Vikings played in its preservation.

After a 40-minute visit to learn about the unique features of the Book of Kells, we'll leave you with about 10 minutes of free time in the Trinity College shop. Next, we'll head to the statue of Molly Malone, where we'll make a brief stop to learn about the history of this character.

Afterwards, we'll go to the heart of Dublin to visit its castle. Originally built on an ancient Viking settlement in the 13th century, it has served as a fortress, prison, treasury, court of justice and even as the seat of English power in Ireland.

During a 50-minute visit, we'll tour the entire castle from the outside, admiring every detail. During the tour, we'll also see the Record and Octagonal Towers, as well as the beauty of its gardens.

Finally, after a total of 3 hours, we'll bring this tour to an end near the Dublin Castle. Slán!
