After picking you up at your hotel in Flores, we'll start our bus ride to Tikal National Park, the most important Maya ruins in Guatemala, located about an hour away.
From the moment you set foot in Tikal National Park, the importance of this place will become clear as day. You'll be immediately immersed into Maya culture as we enter this tremendous complex, which houses some 3,000 structures that archaeologists have excavated... at least so far.
Accompanied by our expert guide in Maya culture, you'll learn the history of this ancient civilization that inhabited Mesoamerica. Religion was at the center of Maya life, exemplified by the numerous temples that we can see, such as the Temple of the Masks, the Temple of the Great Jaguar, the Temple of the Jaguar Priest or the iconic Temple IV, the highest temple in all of Tikal.
