Heidelberg is one of the most beautiful cities in Germany. This tour will take you to see its castle or its famous wine barrel, one of the largest in the world.
We'll meet in the morning near the Frankfurt train station and from there we'll set off by bus to the south of Germany. After an hour's journey, we'll arrive at our destination: Heidelberg.
We'll explore this city built on the banks of the Neckar River, considered one of the most beautiful in the country and very popular among tourists from all over the world.
We'll discover its historic charm on a guided tour of Heidelberg Castle, marvelling at its large courtyard and Gothic and Renaissance architecture. Afterwards, we'll take you to see the Heidelberg Tun, one of the largest wine barrels in the world!
Afterwards, we'll head to the city centre to visit its medieval old town. We'll cross the Old Bridge and Charles Gate, admire the Church of the Holy Spirit and marvel at the beautiful Renaissance façade of the Knights' House. We can even take a stroll through some small streets with wooden houses.
Throughout the tour around the historic centre, we'll notice the university atmosphere in Heidelberg that is home to Germany's oldest university, founded in 1386.
At the end of the trip, we'll return to the bus and make our way back to Frankfurt.
