Tour Details

At the indicated time, we'll meet on Berliner Straße, right in front of St. Paul's Church. Ready to explore Frankfurt?

We'll begin by making our way to the Main Train Station. Did you know that it's the busiest train station in the state of Hesse? From there, we'll head over to Römerberg, one of Germany's most picturesque squares. Once the heart of medieval trade fairs and coronation celebrations, this historic square is brimming with charm and character.

Next up is the City Hall, known locally as the Römer. Standing in front of the Fountain of Justice, we'll take in the beautiful façade of this historic building alongside the traditional half-timbered houses that give the area its fairytale feel. No visit to the square would be complete without a look at St. Nicholas Church. This medieval gem adds yet another layer of history to the square—don't forget to take a photo!

We'll then stroll down to the Eiserner Steg, a 19th-century iron footbridge spanning the River Main. It's the perfect spot for snapping a photo of Frankfurt's unique skyline, a striking contrast of historic and modern architecture. We'll also catch a glimpse of the museum embankment, home to some of the city's best cultural institutions.

Our next stop is the impressive Frankfurt Cathedral, or Kaiserdom. With its towering Gothic spire, this former coronation church once hosted the crowning of German kings and emperors. We'll step inside to admire its grandeur up close.

Next, we'll head to Paulsplatz, where we'll take a closer look at St. Paul's Church, the symbolic birthplace of German democracy. It was here that the first freely elected national assembly met back in 1848.

As we continue through the financial district, we'll see some of the city's most iconic skyscrapers, including the Commerzbank Tower, a striking design by renowned British architect Sir Norman Foster.

Our final stop is the Goethe House, the birthplace of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, one of Germany's greatest literary figures. As we admire it from the outside, we'll hear all about his early life and how the city shaped his work during the 18th century.

Finally, after a total of 1.5 hours, we'll bring the tour to an end.
