6-Hour Day Trip
At the designated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi. From there, we'll set off to Quang Phu Cau, the Incense Village, and Chuong, where the famous Vietnamese hats are made. Let's go!
Our first stop will be at Chuong. This historic spot, with over 300 years of tradition, is known for making the emblematic typical conical hats of Vietnam.
Upon arrival, we'll walk among the workshops, where the craftsmen will show us each step in the meticulous process. You'll have the chance to try one of these traditional nón lá. The best part? At one of these workshops, you'll have 30 minutes to paint a hat that you'll take as a souvenir.
From here, we'll continue toward Quang Phu Cau, the famous Incense Village. Once here, you'll be surrounded by colorful bundles of incense sticks drying in the sun. It'll be a picture-perfect scene!
We'll enter a workshop to see the artisanal process of incense making, from dyeing the sticks to their delivery. Plus, you'll visit the largest incense factory in the town to learn more about the life and work of the artisans.
After this fascinating tour, we'll return to Hanoi. Before arriving, you can choose if you want to end the tour in the Hanoi Train Street or another centric location in the city.
9-Hour Day Trip
Do you have more time? If that's the case, we recommend you opt for a 9-hour day trip. Our first stop will be Ha Thai, a town with over 300 years of history in lacquer painting. An artist will open the doors of their workshop to show us this meticulous process, and if you're up for it, you can create a lacquer piece following their tips. Time to let your creativity run freely!
Our tour will continue in Chuong, the birthplace of the iconic Vietnamese hat. Here, you'll enjoy a homemade lunch prepared with local ingredients. If you like cooking, you can join in making these dishes and discover the secrets of Vietnamese cuisine. After lunch, you'll have the option to personalize your own conical hat by hand painting it, a perfect souvenir of this experience.
In the afternoon, we'll head to Quang Phu Cau, the Incense Village. We'll stroll along its streets filled with color and enter the old houses of the craftsmen to learn about the traditional production of incense. You'll also visit the largest incense factory in the town, filled with incense sticks. It's the perfect place for a picture!
Finally, we'll return to Hanoi, where we can drop you off at the famous Hanoi Train Street or any other point in the center.
