Porkkala Day Trip
We'll meet at 9 am at Mannerheiminaukio 1h bus stop in front of Kiasma, Helsinki's Museum of Contemporary Art. Then, we'll off on a 50-minute bus ride to Porkkala. As soon as you arrive you'll be immersed in a breathtaking landscape of forests, sea, fresh air, ponds and wild animals.
We'll begin exploring with the guide to discover the rocky coast of this peninsula. We'll head down the trails of its forests inhabited by foxes, moose, deer and other fascinating creatures. In spring or summer, you might even see swans!
Then we'll take a break to have a meal and tea or coffee with red fruit cake for dessert. From November and March, we'll light a fire in a shelter and enjoy some sausages or trout with vegetables. From April and October, we'll have a turkey sandwich.
The tour will end back at meeting point in Helsinki between 1 pm and 1:30 pm.
