Find out why Columbus was dazzled when he arrived in Cuba with this Bariay National Monument Tour from Holguin, you'll be surprised!
Bariay National Monument Tour
We'll pick you up at your hotel in Holguin at 9 am and set off for the Bariay National Monument. In one hour we'll have reached our destination.
The most beautiful land that human eyes would have seen. These were the words that Christopher Columbus said when he arrived on 28th October 1492. We'll talk about this historical event while we admire the monument erected in commemoration, which is composed of neoclassical ruins and replicas of aboriginal objects. Without a doubt, a unique representation of the meeting of the two cultures. Furthermore, from there we'll have exceptional views of the bays of Jururú and Bariay.
Afterwards, we'll go to a local's house to enjoy a delicious Cuban coffee and a refreshing coconut water. Then, we'll take a 45-minute route by foot, carriage or horse through the Bariay Park, where we'll discover the vegetation of the coast, the microaerophilic evergreen forest, and the mangrove areas of the Cuban Atlantic.
Afterwards, you can take a dip in the Bariay beach, an idyllic setting surrounded by palm trees and fine white sand - the best way to end the excursion!
Finally, we'll return to Holguin, where the arrival at your hotel is scheduled between 3 and 3:30 pm.
