Located on the Asian shore, just north of the Bosphorus Bridge, the Beylerbeyi Palace was the summer residence for the sultans of the Ottoman Empire, built in the 19th century by order of Sultan Abdülaziz. It also served as a luxurious guesthouse for foreign dignitaries visiting Istanbul.
Designed by the Balyan family, the palace is a perfect example of how the European Neo-Baroque style blends with Ottoman decoration. From its stunning white marble exterior to the Bohemian crystal chandeliers, Hereke carpets, and Chinese porcelain housed within, it's a place brimming with beauty and architectural significance.
