Both the places we visited and the guide were excellent, but I must say the guide was particularly outstanding. Elin "Mama Jeju" organized every detail so that we all enjoyed ourselves, learned, and felt very comfortable. She was the best guide you could have on a tour. If you're visiting Jeju for the first time, or if you've been before and haven't seen the places on this tour, I highly recommend it. Every place left us in awe.

Jeju Island, often called the “Hawaii of South Korea”, welcomes travelers with dramatic volcanic landscapes, lush forests, and beautiful beaches. Famed for its natural wonders and unique culture, this getaway offers something for everyone—whether you are craving breathtaking views, delicious cuisine, or fascinating attractions.

History and Culture

Once a remote and independent kingdom, Jeju boasts a rich history shaped by its volcanic origin and seafaring heritage. Over the centuries, the island developed its own dialect and traditions, from the famous Haenyeo (female divers) to unique stone statues known as Dol Hareubang. This cultural blend is visible everywhere, creating a distinct identity that sets the island apart from the mainland.

Best Time to Visit

Spring and autumn are ideal for exploring thanks to mild temperatures and clear skies—cherry blossoms paint the island in spring, while autumn brings vibrant foliage. Summer is popular for beach lovers, though it can be humid. Winters are quiet and peaceful, perfect for those seeking fewer crowds.

What are the must-see attractions?

Highlights include Hallasan Mountain, Jeju’s majestic volcanic peak; the Manjanggul Lava Tube; and Seongsan Ilchulbong, a spectacular tuff cone offering sunrise views. Don’t miss Jeju’s waterfalls, beaches, and quirky museums like the Teddy Bear Museum.

Is Jeju good for families?

Absolutely. With outdoor adventures, interactive parks, and plenty of scenic spots, Jeju has activities to entertain both kids and adults, making it a top choice for family trips.
