At the appointed time we'll meet at the Jaffa Gate. From there we'll travel by bus to the Mount of Olives, a symbol of Jerusalem and one of the most mystical places in the Holy Land.
First we'll stop at the foot of the Mount, where we'll visit the Jewish cemetery - did you know that it's considered to be one of the oldest cemeteries in the world?
After visiting the cemetery, we'll climb to the top of the Mount of Olives to enjoy the beautiful panoramic views of Jerusalem. We'll also learn about the significance of this place for Christians. Afterwards, we'll continue our tour of the area around the Mount, visiting the Chapel of the Ascension and the Church of Dominus Flevit.
The next stop will be the garden of Gethsemane. According to the New Testament, this is where Jesus prayed before being arrested by the Roman authorities of Judea. Then, we'll go to the tomb of the Virgin Mary, another place of great symbolism at the foot of the Mount of Olives.
Finally, after a three-hour tour, we will conclude our tour of the Mount of Olives at the Lions' Gate.
